There’s been something that has been bugging me for quite a while now & I’m going to spill the beans & be completely honest with you. So here goes….
I don’t like the name ‘Sam Reynolds Music’.
There, I said it, it’s done. I can’t take it back now, it’s been immortalised on the internet with bold lettering & there’s no way I can go back.
The name served me well when I started out teaching bass guitar way back in ’03 from a bedroom in a share house I was renting at the time (I had a futon bed which conveniently folded into a lounge…. so to the untrained eye, it was a second lounge room…… or so I convinced myself anyway).
It even worked when I started composing music for TV shows. My name is Sam Reynolds & I provide music…. makes sense.
However, when I decided to expand from a one man music teaching operation & start a music school, this is when my doubts over the name started, but I thought, nah it’s cool, don’t worry about it, it still kinda works.
But that niggling feeling about the name never went away & as the school grew, so did my concerns over the name.
We are no longer a one man band & have not been for just over 2 years now. I am lucky enough to have an awesome team of music teachers working with me & I think they deserve some credit. Not only that, with the move into the new space I think it’s time we had a name & logo that reflects the quality of our services & suits the aesthetics of our studio & brand.
So, as our business has evolved, I feel now is the time for our name to do the same & without further ado, I wish to bid farewell to ‘Sam Reynolds Music’ & big hello, how do you do to…….
Yes, we are now called Reynolds & Co. The name has evolved to incorporate where we are now & where we are going as a business. Thanks to Brett from Pocket Design for helping come up with our new logo. He did an amazing job & it is completely hand drawn, only the last stage is when a computer was introduced to digitise the drawing. So completely old school, I love it.
Thanks also to our great clients, past & present. Without you, there would be no Sam Reynolds Music or Reynolds & Co. Thanks for joining me on this journey & I look forward to sharing this new chapter with you all.
